Konon menurut sejarah, Lamin/Lu’uq adalah Rumah panjang bertiang tinggi, yang didiami masyarakat dayak secara berkelompok, dan dalam kelompok tersebut sempekat atau kerjasama masyarakat terbangun secara natural, sehingga sikap kekeluargaan terus tumbuh menjadi suatu kebiasaan yang tidak dapat lepas dari kehidupan masyarakat. Hukum adatpun secara natural terbentuk dalam kelompok kecil tersebut, terjaga hingga sekarang.
